My favorite pen combo by far is the red, blue, gold, and black inks of the broad tipped Uni-ball UM-153 pens. The red and gold mix into these warm fire-like oranges and the blue and gold produce comforting hints of green. The addition of some black enamel adds to the sense of depth with the layering and often gives the piece a landscape feel. The white ink almost always comes in on the top as an accent as it blends with the paper it tends to send things back in space. In this piece I chose a white pen that was 95% empty so that the white would fade out quickly in an random location.
